Alpha Vantage in Laravel
This package started in a personal project that needed Alpha Vantage data. Rather than keeping the integration inside that application, I made it a reusable Laravel library.
Alpha Vantage provides time series and other financial data through an API. The package brings selected requests together in PHP. Its structure follows the API: the repository documents Core, Fundamentals, Indicators and Intelligence sections. The wrapper covers the parts needed by the original project, rather than every service the data provider offers.
Retrieve daily prices
A daily price request through the Laravel facade looks like this:
use Tschucki\Alphavantage\Facades\Alphavantage;
$daily = Alphavantage::timeSeries()->daily('IBM');
This retrieves the daily time series for the symbol IBM.
Integrate with Laravel
Install through Composer, then publish the package configuration:
composer require tschucki/alphavantage-laravel
php artisan vendor:publish --tag="alphavantage-laravel-config"
Configure the API key through ALPHAVANTAGE_API_KEY in your application. Available data and requests also depend on your provider account. The package supplies an integration, rather than its own dataset.
