pr0gramm Notifications

Send messages to pr0gramm users through Laravel's notification system. A custom channel connects recipients and messages to the API.

PHPLaravelNotifications

Send Laravel notifications to pr0gramm

The pr0gramm Notification Channel sends Laravel notifications as messages to pr0gramm users.

It is used in pr0p0ll, among other projects, and connects to the platform through the Laravel pr0gramm API wrapper. Messages remain Laravel notifications, so the integration does not need to be rebuilt for every send.

Define the recipient and message

Install the package with Composer:

composer require tschucki/laravel-notification-channel-pr0gramm

The notifiable model supplies the recipient's name through getPr0grammName(). The notification selects the channel in via(), and toPr0gramm() provides the message text:

public function toPr0gramm($notifiable): string
{
    return 'There is a new response to your poll.';
}

Configuration and message limits

Credentials are configured through the Laravel application's service configuration. The documentation recommends a bot account and explains the setup.

The platform's message limits matter when sending notifications. The package reports a reached limit through Pr0grammRateLimitReached. An application can handle this case explicitly, for example in a queue job's error handling.

The repository describes a complete notification, configuration and error handling.
